Aug 14, Tamara rated it really liked it Shelves: Better than the Twilight Series? Yes, I must say it is plus much, much more!
I fell in love with the characters and the plot flowed well. It was hard to put this one down once I started.
Mystery, love, suspense and vampires……. Jan 11, Glenna Maynard rated it it was amazing. I am huge love of ya vampire books and this was by far one of the best I have read. It had all the elements sexy damaged guy, great supporting characters and the lead female didn't annoy me. At first I thought oh no another twilight wanna be, but this was so much better.
Jun 18, JenCal added it. Love this series. Apr 04, James rated it really liked it Shelves: A great series that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I loved the author's take on vampires, and was glad it was pretty different from anything vampire-related I had read before. The story was absorbing and I ended up losing myself if a fantastic tale of revenge, heartache, pain, sacrifice and love for most of today. The characters were well defined and by the end I was sorry to see Bo and Ridley's adventure come to a close.
Their love story was a sweet and heart-warming tale. The writing was well d A great series that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. The writing was well done and apart from a few standard ebook grammar and spelling issues, it was captivating and emotionally charged. This is one of the best vampire series I've read and even though some of it was a bit predictable, I enjoyed it thoroughly.
I am so glad I spent today procrastinating to finish it! Aug 01, Rachel Lynn Sterling rated it really liked it. The first thing I want to say is that after reading this set, I have added M. Leighton to my "Authors to Read" list.
Love her writing! Now as for this series, I thought is was great. It does compare to Twilight in manys ways, but all of them good. The character interaction, longing, drama, tension, tenderness, swoon-worthy moments, an HEA were all present and accounted for. Now, I have to mention that I have on occasion become a bit upset with all the series out now.
And you will like it. Let me rephrase.
Unless you are some kind of strange, you will like it. And lastly, you will love it because it is awesome topped with awesomesauce. Can you tell that I love it?
But wait- I can give you a short synopsis in M. Bo survived a condition that would have killed a lesser vampire, or any vampire for that matter. For his love, for his safety, for eternity in his arms? I stopped in my tracks and looked around. Immediately, my heart sped up, banging like a drum, keeping time with the erratic expansion of my lungs as I grew more and more breathless. Those invisible strings were pulling me, no dragging me into the middle of the crowd, where bodies were crushed together so tightly they moved as if they were one.
Weaving my way through perfumed and cologned figures, I felt like I was getting lost in the fray when I saw a tall, darkly cloaked figure watching me through a break in the mob. He was dressed as Dracula. His robe was ebony satin with a blood red lining and the hood that covered his head shadowed all but his mouth. She did everything her friends wanted her to do and she saw right through them.
However, she never stood up to them. See, Ridley has had a rough past few years and it was not until Bo came into her life that she began to see things differently. She was immediately pulled to Bo. Um, hello! Hot vampire!
But it was more than that. Bo was there for Ridley more than once to save her and he would sacrifice anything for her! Talk about a cliffhanger. But, after I tweeted M.
